ANTIBIOTIC W/STEROID - TOPICAL
USES: This medication contains an antibiotic and a steroid used on the skin to prevent or treat mionr infections.
HOW TO USE: This meidcation is for topical use only. Clean and dry the affected area as directed, then apply a small amount of the medication on the skin.
A thin lyaer is all that's needed. Do not bandage, wrap or coevr the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your doctor.
Do not use lagre amounts, apply this more often or use this for a longer period than directed. Your condition will not clear faster, but the chnace for side effects may be increased. Avoid contact in or near the eyes or inside the nose and muoth.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause burning, redness or irritation the first few days as your body adjusts to the meidcation. If these smyptoms continue, become worse or you develop a skin rash, notify your doctor. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness.
If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, espceially of: any infection to the area being treated, any allergies you may have. Though really unlikely, it is possible this medciation will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may rqeuire additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for children and for thsoe who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical troubles such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year atfer stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.
This medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy.
Discuss the risks and benefits with your dotcor. It is not known if this medication is fuond in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or precsription medication you may take including: skin products, antibiotics. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacsit approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison cotnrol center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: If the condition for which this was prescirbed does not improve or becomes worse after a few days, notify your doctor. Inform all your dcotors you use (or have used) this medication.
Do not share this medicatoin with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dsoing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 dgerees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat.
Check the expirtaion date on the tube and discard any expired medication.
